Job Introduction

Our Team

The Digital Inclusion Service Team is a district wide service supporting organisations and communities across Bradford to engage in the digital world in a way that is meaningful to them. Our team supports over 147 partners (VCSEs, Children's Trust, Libraries, GP Practices, Health Partners and council services) to develop their digital confidence, motivation, and support them with digital skills and device provision. Our team includes Sharon Sanders (Head of Service) and Ayisha Hameed (Digital Inclusion Service Lead). The team are recruiting 2 Digital Inclusion Officers to support their digital inclusion work across various sites in Bradford. 

Role Description

We are looking for 2 Digital Inclusion Officers to join our Digital Inclusion Service Team to support various digital inclusion efforts supporting our diverse communities to engage in the digital world. This role is an opportunity to make a real difference in our vibrant and diverse city. 

 The main responsibilities of this role:

  • Directly responsible to the Digital Inclusion Service Lead for delivery of the Digital Inclusion Action plan across the district
  • Promote and support the Bradford District Digital Inclusion Service and related projects through outreach and engagement
  • Act as an Ambassador for Digital Inclusion. Coordinating Digital Friends (Staff & Volunteer Training Programme) in community organisation 
  • Deliver a range of community-based digital inclusion activities.
  • Understand and address individual digital inclusion barriers and needs 
  • Support the design and delivery of digital access sessions, drop-ins, and events
  • Assist in identifying and applying for funding to support ongoing work
  • Build and maintain positive relationships with local organisations and partners
  • Help individuals improve their digital confidence and access to health, education, and employmentopportunities.
  • Deliver awareness-raising sessions and basic training using a range of digital tools and devices.
  • Collect and present data, stories, and feedback to demonstrate programme impact.
  • Support equality, diversity, and inclusion by targeting digital support to those most in need
  • Work flexibly, including evenings and weekends, to meet community needs.
