Job Introduction
We are looking for a Semi Skilled Gardener to join our dedicated team in Parks, Environment. This role is an opportunity to make a real difference in our vibrant and diverse city.
The main responsibilities of this role:
- Work as part of a team or occasionally on their own, carrying out all general grounds maintenance duties, eg grass cutting, shrub and flower bed maintenance or any other horticultural tasks as identified on sites within the Local Authority district.
- Ensure equipment is safe to use and that all safety requirements applicable to the operative, other employees and members of the public are adhered to.
- Responsible for the operation of and minor maintenance of mowing equipment, small tools and plant.
- Responsible for security of equipment and plant being used on site.
- Responsible for carrying out works to a high standard.
