Job Introduction
We are looking for a Depot Supervisor to join our dedicated team in the Environment- Park & Cleansing Team. This role is an opportunity to make a real difference in our vibrant and diverse city.
The main responsibilities of this role:
- Supervise and motivate staff, apprentices and seasonal staff. Including maintenance activities within Parks, playing fields, bowling greens, buildings, play areas and other open spaces.
- To lead and co ordinate multiple small teams working outdoors. This includes monitoring workloads and performance of staff. Including test and inspects.
- Responsible for driving and operating a wide range of vehicles and plant including vehicles up to 7.5 tonnes with trailer attachments for transporting mowers and pedestrian operated machinery.
- Responsibility for security of equipment, daily checks reporting defects and organising repairs. Security of the depot and buildings within the area of responsibility
- Assist the Parks & Street Cleansing Manager in the operation of emergency service required. Particularly with buildings within designated area of responsibility, including 24 hour call out duties and organisation and delivery of out of hours response to emergency situations including winter maintenance.
