Senior Finance and Administration Officer

Job Introduction

Bradford Council’s Bereavement Services provide compassionate, professional support for families, overseeing burials, cremations and memorial arrangements across the district, delivering around 3,800 funerals each year with dignity and care.

We are seeking a Senior Finance & Admin Officer to provide dedicated operational finance and administrative support across Bereavement Services, ensuring timely and accurate financial reports, efficient workflows and compliant procurement processes.

Main Duties

• Deliver operational finance tasks (raise orders and invoices, update Contracts and Grants Register, monitor invoice payments)
• Advise and participate in procurement of goods and services (framework contracts, blanket orders, spending panels)
• Act as SAP Champion and co‑ordinate admin/finance workflows.
• Provide financial reports and support budget monitoring
• Process statutory documentation relating to burials and cremations
