Role Description
e.g. We are looking for a Temporary Assessor to join our dedicated team in Skills for Work. This role is an opportunity to make a real difference in our vibrant and diverse city.
The main responsibilities of this role:
- To maintain accurate assessment, verification and progress tracking systems for the centre.
- To lead and undertake exam invigilation activities ensuring awarding body regulations and national standard are followed.
- To support the tutor teams as directed by the Learning and Curriculum Manager to develop best practice across delivery areas leading to an appealing, meaningful and efficient curriculum.
- Ensure that regular contact with tutors is maintained to provide information, advice and guidance on qualification requirements and awarding body requirements.
- To maintain and actively monitor records in accordance with all internal and external quality requirements, including in particular records of learner attendance, withdrawal and destination, progression, achievement, quality assurance.
- To respond promptly to requests for information and to be prepared to interpret data where required.
- To work within the Education Inspection Framework as set out by Ofsted.
- To promote and pursue the corporate mission and business interests of Skills for Work.
- To actively promote, comply with and ensure that all current legislation and Local Authority policies are complied with, particularly with regard to Equal Rights, Health, and Safety & Safeguarding.
To undertake any other duties commensurate with grade and overall level of the post across Skills for Work.
