Role Description

 e.g. We are looking for a School Crossing Patrol to join our dedicated team in the Department of Growth. This role is an opportunity to make a real difference in our vibrant and diverse city. 

 The main responsibilities of this role:

  • To be in attendance at the designated crossing point at times specified by the           School Crossing Patrol Coordinator; and for the full period of the duty.
  • Exercise competent judgement and in line with guidelines to stop road traffic within       safe distances and give authority for children and adults to cross.
  • To be responsible for the safe movement of pedestrians across the road at the        crossing patrol point.
  • Consistently apply working practices and procedures laid down by the Service.
  • Taking personal responsibility for own safety and that of others by reporting           incidents and concerns about the operation of the site.
  • Undertake training and personal development as agreed with the line manager.
