Qualified Teacher of the Vision Impaired 3 days a week – Wednesday, Thursday, Friday to compliment an established working pattern.

We are seeking to recruit to our team of qualified Teachers of the Vision Impaired and other professionals working with children with Vision Impairment across the Children’s Sensory and Physical Needs Service.

You will work as part of a team of specialist staff to contribute to the effective and efficient teaching and learning for vision impaired pupils at Grove House Local Authority led Resourced Provision to:

• Work flexibly within the structure of the Children’s Sensory and Physical Needs Service, ensuring the raised achievement and maximum inclusion of children with vision impairment through high quality teaching and learning. 
• To work as part of the Local Authority led Resourced Provision team within the primary resourced provision for children with vision impairment to provide direct assessment, including for statutory processes, teaching and intervention to children with vision impairment, to effect good transitions from nursery/home settings and onto secondary, with particular regard to their education, social and emotional development, and improving outcomes. 
• To promote partnerships with families, professionals and a range of agencies, and to participate in appropriate meetings with colleagues and parents / carers relating to all duties in this document, preparing reports and other documentation needed to ensure pupils’ needs are identified and appropriately met.

Salary:  MPS/UPS + 2 SEN (qualified) / 1 SEN (unqualified)
