Job Introduction

Specialist Support Worker with Deaf Children (Term Time Only)

We are seeking to recruit a dedicated and creative Specialist Support Worker (SSW) to join our team of professionals to work with deaf children across the Deaf and MSI Children Service, in the Local Authority Led Resourced Provisions (LARP). This post will initially be based at Girlington Primary School.

The Deaf and MSI Children Service is a large, enthusiastic, and dynamic team of specialists providing teaching and support for Deaf and MSI children and young people.  We work with three schools that host a Local Authority Led Resourced Provision and peripatetically across the Bradford local authority.

Ideally you will have experience of working in an education setting with deaf children and young people. You must have the ability to demonstrate skills in British Sign Language at a minimum of Level 2 and have a willingness to develop your BSL further.  There will be opportunity within the service to do this.
