Based at BACES, Station Road, Low Moor, Bradford, BD12 0LU
You will be cleaning and recycling medical equipment provided jointly by Bradford Metropolitan District and the NHS. You will be dealing directly with members of the public, professionals, other agencies and provide a polite and courteous service. You will be a key team member of the BACES team, who work together to provide a delivery and collection service of medical equipment to the community and hospitals. The main base is currently at Low Moor, but you may be required to work in other locations if required.
You will have:
- A basic level of literacy and numeracy
- Experience of working in a warehouse environment
- Knowledge of Health and Safety whilst working with cleaning materials
- A commitment to extending existing skills by further training.
- A willingness to attend appropriate training in areas identified to meet the service equipment delivered
- It would be desirable for you to have a licence to operate fork lift trucks.
- Dealing with all types of new and returned equipment in the warehouse or service users home when required which will vary considerably in terms of physical structure, cleanliness and material standard.
- There will be considerable physical amount of movement with the cleaning area, this includes, moving and handling medical equipment all day, bending and on your feet for the majority of your day.
- Assisting with unloading of deliveries to BACES warehouse and helping to arrange the stock.
