Job Introduction

Bradford is the 2025 UK City of Culture and the youngest city in the UK, with a mix of urban and rural areas and a broad variety of communities. Our service works at the heart of the city to make a difference to the lives of children and young people living here.

Bradford Portage Service require an enthusiastic and skilled Portage Home Visitor to support young children with additional needs and their families, using the Portage Early Education Programme. You will need experience of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS), home visiting, working with young children who have additional needs and multi agency working. As well as the following:  

  • Level 3 Early Years & Childcare qualification (or equivalent) 
  • Grade C or above in English & Maths (or equivalent) 
  • Experience working with children aged 0-5 with Special Educational Needs or Disabilities 

An enhanced disclosure check with the Disclosure and Barring Service will be undertaken for this post.
