Job Introduction

Bradford Council People Commissioning Service has an exciting opportunity for a co-production officer to join our team. This role will specialise in co-production and engagement activity for People Commissioning 

It is a great time to join our highly skilled and professional service of about 75 staff, with the wider team providing all ages commissioning and contract management functions for Adult Social Care, Public Health, and Children’s Services. We are committed to investing in our staff, to co-producing services with the people who use them and developing and improving services for the citizens of Bradford.

Our team plays a central role in developing high quality and integrated commissioned services, working closely with partners across the Council, the Bradford Children and Families Trust and the NHS. These roles provide an opportunity to make a real difference in our vibrant and diverse city.

We are looking for a co-production officer to join our People Commissioning Team to support commissioning projects that can bring about real change; that are innovative, person-centered, and produced in partnership with the people who will use the services and their carers, as well as Health, Independent sector, and VCS. 

We are looking for people who are creative thinkers and problem solvers, who can manage projects, communicate with a wide range of people, and write well.

 The main responsibilities of this role:

  • . Support the wider team with the delivery of on-going co-production and implementation and delivery of engagement and consultation programmes
  • Coordinate co-production and engagement events and workshops requiring effective and detailed planning and organisation
  • Assist with the development of engagement and involvement opportunities that enable people who use our services, their families and carers to make an active contribution in the design, delivery and management of services.
  • Use community development and other participatory approaches to facilitate and improve the way the team interacts with people who use our services, their families and carers

  • Work closely with provider organisations and service user groups to gather feedback and identify and compile case studies and stories to help inform commissioning decisions
  • Support the Co-Production and Engagement Manager with the development of engagement and consultation outcome reports and other key documents
  • Deputise for the Co-Production and Engagement Manager as required
