The Role
This is an exciting opportunity to join our Business Intelligence Team at a pivotal time, supporting both Children's Services and the Adults and Communities Directorates. In this newly created role, you will play a key part in shaping and delivering high-quality business intelligence that drives service transformation and strategic decision-making for children, young people, families and adults across the borough.
Working collaboratively with Business Intelligence colleagues, operational services and partner organisations, you will lead the planning, coordination and delivery of a diverse range of intelligence products and insights that support continuous improvement and better outcomes for our communities.
You will line manage a portfolio of Career Grade Business Intelligence Professionals, helping to develop talent and foster a culture of excellence. You will also work closely with the Principal Business Intelligence Officer to coordinate learning, training and professional development opportunities across the wider Business Intelligence Team, ensuring the team have the skills and knowledge needed to meet current and future challenges.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced intelligence professional who is passionate about using data, insight and evidence to influence change and make a meaningful difference to people's lives.

About You
We're looking for someone who is passionate about using data and insight to make a real difference. You will be an excellent communicator, able to transform complex information into clear, meaningful insights for a wide range of audiences. Whether presenting to senior leaders, service managers or partners, you will tell the story behind the data in an engaging and accessible way.
You will be proactive, adaptable and collaborative, with the confidence to work independently while contributing to a supportive team of intelligence professionals. You will have experience of using research methods, analytical techniques, statistical tools and software packages to analyse and interpret data.
Most importantly, you will bring curiosity, creativity and a genuine enthusiasm for data and intelligence. You will be keen to challenge assumptions, explore new approaches and contribute fresh ideas that help drive continuous improvement across our services.
