The Role
This is an exciting time to join our Business Intelligence Team, working across Children’s Services and the Adults, Communities and Integration Directorates. You will work with a portfolio of services to understand their business requirements, and to transform relevant data into intelligence using a variety of software and analytical tools. You will help provide an evidence base for decision making, monitoring, outcome measurement, projections and service improvement. Our new career grade approach will enable you to join the team according to your knowledge and experience, with a clear and supported professional development pathway.
About You
You will have a passion for working with data and excellent communication skills, including the ability to prepare and present data to a range of audiences in a way that is accessible and easy to understand. You will be proactive, enthusiastic and flexible in your approach, working on your own initiative whilst working collaboratively with fellow data professionals.
You should have experience of using research methods, statistical tools and software packages alongside strong analytical skills to undertake data analysis. You will join the career grade appropriate to the level of knowledge and experience you demonstrate.
Your passion for data will inevitably bring new ideas to the team as we all learn and develop together.
As part of your covering letter, please tell us:
Why you think data is important in this role?
About your experience of working with data and intelligence, including any tools, techniques or projects you have used to collect, analyse, interpret or present information?
We are keen to understand how your skills, knowledge and enthusiasm for data can contribute to the team and support informed decision-making across the organisation.
