The Role

Are you passionate about people and making a difference? Do you thrive on building relationships and communicating with confidence? We’re looking for a proactive people-person to join our busy team. You’ll be supporting managers with recruitment activity while also leading on a range of people-related projects, including overseeing safeguarding processes. Although we have policies and guidance to work within, we’re always looking for opportunities to improve. You’ll have the freedom to bring fresh ideas, challenge the "way we do things”, and help shape better ways of working, encouraging and empowering managers to do the same.

This isn’t a traditional HR specialist role. Instead, we’re looking for someone with a genuine interest in people and place, a passion for attracting and supporting talent, and a desire to make a positive impact within the local community. If you enjoy working collaboratively, influencing others, and helping people succeed, we’d love to hear from you.

About You

In this role you’ll play an active part promoting our organisation, supporting recruitment events and helping to deliver our schools' work experience programme. You'll be a confident and approachable communicator, comfortable engaging with people from all backgrounds and building positive relationships at every level. You’ll have a proactive and innovative mind-set, with the ability to generate your own work and bring fresh ideas back to the team.

You'll be encouraged to think creatively, take initiative and help shape new approaches to attracting and engaging talent.

Strong written communication skills are essential, as you'll be creating engaging content and communicating persuasively with a range of audiences. You'll also have excellent attention to detail and be comfortable working with data, using insights and analysis to help inform and support our recruitment activities.

Experience of organising events and providing support to managers is essential. A qualification in Business Administration or CIPD Level 3 would be advantageous, but most importantly we're looking for someone with enthusiasm, initiative and a genuine passion for people.
