The Role

As part of the Landscape Architects’ team, you will design and deliver projects in Bolton’s parks and open spaces. You will lead on smaller projects and work with more senior staff on more complex projects.
Working on multi-disciplinary projects you will liaise with partner organisations, Councillors, contractors and the public during project delivery.
You will ensure that all projects are delivered to the highest standards of health and safety, to budget and on time. You will also provide specialist comments on planning applications for colleagues in Development Management, be involved in planning gain negotiations and contribute to the development of the new Local Plan.

About You

You will be an enthusiastic Chartered Landscape Architect, proficient in the use of CAD and with experience of the design, procurement and delivery of landscape schemes; knowledge and experience of play area improvements would be a particular advantage, as well as experience of contract management and working with external contractors.
You will use your project management skills to ensure that projects are delivered to budget and on time.
You will have excellent communication skills and have experience of dealing with a range of stakeholders, contractors and the public.
Experience of undertaking or commenting on planning applications would also be advantageous.
