Hours: 37 per week
Essential qualifications: Relevant NVQ Level 3/Level 3 Diploma or equivalent or the ability and commitment to complete the Level 4 Children and Young People Practitioner Apprentice within 24 months
Essential requirement: full driving licence
Essential: enhanced DBS check

Are you passionate about making a real difference in the lives of children, young people, and families?
We are looking for caring, dedicated individuals to join our team and help deliver high-quality support that creates lasting positive outcomes to enable children to remain at home wherever possible
If you have relevant experience but don’t have a professional qualification, we can support you to achieve this in work.
What you will be doing
Delivering high-quality outreach and short break care support to children, young people, and families
Building strong, trusting relationships with children, parents, and carers
Supporting families with practical guidance to promote consistent, safe parenting
Providing emotional and behavioural support to help young people reach their full potential
Working one-to-one with children and young people to build confidence, independence, and resilience
Acting as a positive role model and advocate for those in your care
Safeguarding and always promoting the welfare of children
Working collaboratively with colleagues and external professionals to achieve the best outcomes
Maintaining accurate records in line with regulatory and organisational standards
Helping create a safe, inclusive, and supportive environment where young people can thrive

About You
We’re looking for individuals who are:
Caring, resilient, and professional in their approach
Skilled at building positive relationships and communicating effectively
Confident in managing challenging behaviours and situations
Knowledgeable about safeguarding and committed to protecting vulnerable individuals
Flexible and able to work a variety of shifts, including outreach and residential support
The post requires a Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare or equivalent or a commitment to undertake the level 4 Children, Young People and Families Practitioner apprenticeship from you to achieve the qualification within two years of appointment.
