We are seeking an experienced and motivated Community Safety professional to play a leading role in developing and delivering effective community safety strategies across the borough. Working at the heart of the Community Safety Partnership, you will provide policy leadership, project management, and operational support to address issues such as antisocial behaviour (ASB), serious violence, hate crime, Prevent and community cohesion.

This is a highprofile role requiring strong partnership working, problemsolving skills, and the ability to translate strategy into practical, multiagency action that improves safety and confidence within our communities.

About You
The successful candidate will provide leadership and support to the Community Safety Partnership, including strategic theme groups and relevant operational working groups, contributing to the development and implementation of strategy, policy and service delivery. You will work closely with elected members and a wide range of partner agencies such as Greater Manchester Police, housing providers, neighbourhood watch groups and VCSE organisations, supporting them on community safety priorities and emerging issues.
A key aspect of the role involves developing, coordinating and implementing multiagency responses to community safety challenges, using evidencebased problemsolving techniques, partnership action plans and community engagement to achieve shared outcomes. You will support service managers through research and analysis, consultation activity, report writing and the facilitation of discussions at partnership meetings, ensuring decisions are informed by highquality intelligence and evidence.
The role also includes preparing and presenting highlight and performance reports for the Community Safety Partnership and its subgroups, monitoring progress against agreed action plans and projects. You will contribute to the development of effective performance management systems that enable the partnership to measure impact, identify risk and drive continuous improvement. Responsibility for coordinating the CCTV resource sits within this role, ensuring compliance with all relevant policies, procedures and legislative requirements.
