If so, an exciting opportunity has arisen to join our Registration Team providing a professional and customer focused front-line service to the residents of Bolton. Your duties will include conducting and registering ceremonies at the Register Office and Approved premises and issuing documents necessary for burials and cremations. We are looking for someone with excellent interpersonal skills, who can remain calm under pressure and has the ability to apply complex regulations in a sensitive and customer focused manner. The successful candidate must be able to work effectively and flexibly in a busy front-line office.
There is one full-time vacancy and one part-time vacancy available, the working patterns are as follows:
Full-time- 37 hours
7.1 hours Monday to Friday. The remaining 1.5 hours will be worked on Saturdays on a rota basis (every fourth Saturday, 6 hours per Saturday).
Part-time 14.7 hours
7.1 hours Wednesday and Thursday. The remaining 0.5 hours will be worked on Saturdays on a rota basis (every eighth Saturday, 4 hours per Saturday).
About You
Ideal candidates will have a demonstrable understanding of working with the public in a statutory service. You will possess excellent all-round communication skills and be able to work with minimum supervision dealing with situations sensitively showing empathy, tact, understanding and diplomacy.
You must be available to work at weekends on a rota basis.
