Contract: 2x 37 hours per week Permanent posts
Essential Requirement: Driving License and DBS,
Essential Qualification: Relevant JNC level 3 qualification in, Youth Work Practice, Youth and Community Work , or willing to work towards this.

The Role
This is an exciting opportunity to join our Targeted Youth Support Service within our Family Help provision. As a Targeted Youth Support worker, you will work with children, young people and families across Bolton. You will manage a caseload of children and young people and will lead and complete holistic early help assessments of family’s needs and strengths. You will work with families and partner agencies to develop clear and effective plans to support families to make and sustain positive changes.
Working as part of a team and working in partnership with partner agencies, you will deliver one to one support to children, young people and families working in a variety of settings in the community and within the family home. You will provide effective interventions and support to families and deliver evidence based structured programmes of intervention, ensuring a strengths based, child led approach.
You will also deliver targeted group work programmes, ensuring young people are involved in the co-design of this work. This will include evening and Saturday delivery.

About You
We are looking for someone:
who enjoys working with adolescents and their Parents/Carers to join our team to help make a difference to young people's lives.
with skills and experience in building relationships with vulnerable and at-risk groups of young people.
with experience of working with young people at risk of offending, family breakdown, homelessness, exploitation/abuse, mental health, and other complex needs including SEND.
You will:
hold a relevant JNC level 3 or above Youth and Community Work qualification, or be willing to work towards this.
have experience of working with children, young people and families and an understanding of Early Help and Safeguarding procedures.
be able to develop effective working relationships with parents/carers, children and young people, colleagues and partner agencies.
Have experience of delivering targeted group work programmes and be an experienced group facilitator.
be a team player, who is able to use their own initiative and someone who embraces creative approaches to working with children, young people and families. You will approach change with a ‘can do’ attitude to overcome challenges and take a strengths-based approach to the role.

Your experience of working with children, young people and families, including experience of delivering direct one to one interventions, and group work, with children, young people and families, achieving positive outcomes
Your knowledge of Family and Early Help and your understanding of child protection procedures including relevant legislation and policies
How you have developed and maintained effective working relationships with parents, carers and colleagues in other agencies, sharing information and communicating effectively on difficult and sensitive issues, using restorative and relational approaches.
