The Role
37hrs £31,022 to £34,434, 14h 48m £12,366 to £13,727, pay award pending
As a Coroner’s Officer, working as part of a team, you will investigate deaths on behalf of the Coroner. You will liaise closely with bereaved families, police, medical experts and legal professionals as you case manage referrals from initial report through to inquest. It’s a role that places you at the centre of complex, sensitive and often fast moving enquiries where your actions directly support the delivery of a timely, thorough and compassionate coronial service.
About You
You will have proven experience of an organised and methodical approach to managing your workload, be an effective communicator and a diligent and responsible individual who is flexible, enthusiastic and resilient as you will be working in an environment that exposes you to upsetting and confidential material. You will have excellent IT skills, a sound understanding of data protection and data sharing legislation. Medical and legal knowledge and understanding would be advantageous.
