The Role:
£25,583 to £25,989, pay award pending
Bolton Council has an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and motivated individual to join our Housing Standards team as a Management Support Officer.
Working as part of a busy team you will provide comprehensive administrative support to the Housing Standards team, with responsibilities including:
Recording and processing service requests
Dealing with customer enquiries, greeting visitors, providing information and assistance, taking messages and signposting callers to relevant officers / services.
Answering phone calls and responding to emails
Maintaining case management systems and spreadsheets
Drafting a variety of documents, which includes the use of mail merge for bulk correspondence
Supporting financial systems such as invoice requests and billing enquiries
This post is offered on a twoyear fixed term contract. The Council is reviewing the potential for the role to become permanent in the future, although this cannot be guaranteed.
About You:
The ideal candidate will be an experienced administrator looking to work in a busy, but friendly and supportive environment. Having excellent customer care and communications skills is essential, along with the ability to prioritise tasks and complete work accurately.
Good IT skills will be needed and a working knowledge of Microsoft Office packages. You will be expected to maintain and organise a variety of records and ensure colleagues and key partners are updated on projects and case work.
Having a flexible approach and being able to learn new processes and procedures quickly is vital for this role.
We also encourage applications from candidates who have relevant transferable skills as full training will be provided.
