The Role
We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced minute taker to join the ‘Bolton Family’ and be a part of our administration team supporting the Child Protection Unit. You will work closely with the Independent Reviewing Officers (IRO’s) who chair the conferences, and other members of the team.
The Child Protection Unit work within the Bolton Family Framework to support children and families in Bolton achieve better outcomes, and our partners and professionals are paramount to this success.
The Lead administrator is key to ensuring the smooth running of conferences and the role is exciting and varied. Duties include (but are not limited to): Assisting with arranging and organising the Initial and Review conferences, setting up virtual and face to face meetings and collating reports for conferences, taking comprehensive minutes of the meetings, and the distribution of minutes and outcome to conference attendees within statutory timelines.
An important aspect of the role is taking complex, multi-agency minutes of the conferences so experience of accurate and efficient minute taking experience is essential to the role. Full training on processes and systems will be given to support the successful candidate in fulfilling the role.
About You
You will demonstrate effective communication skills in order to present information both verbally and in writing. You will have the ability to work as part of a team and under your own supervision. You should be able to demonstrate effective organisational skills, with the ability to plan, develop and prioritise your work. You must possess accurate literacy skills to ensure correct information is collated and processed and have good systems skills.
Experience of using a range of computer software packages to produce accurate, well-presented documents is essential, as is a demonstrable ability to handle cash and be able to record and monitor payments in line with financial procedures.

You will have experience of taking comprehensive minutes at conferences or multi agency meetings.
