The Role

Salary: £31,022 - £34,434 per annum - pay award pending


We are seeking a Performance Support Officer to assist in the delivery and reporting of Key Performance Indicators within the Highways and Engineering Division.


The role requires effective use of ICT systems, attention to detail and the ability to manage competing priorities. You will contribute to service performance, continuous improvement and effective working relationships with colleagues and services across the Council.


You will be proactive in the development and review of key performance information, as well as updating and maintaining the Division’s webpages and documents, ensuring they meet accessibility requirements. You will also implement and maintain accurate data and business systems with the use of IT software including Microsoft Sharepoint and Excel.

You will need to be organised, dependable and someone who thrives in a busy environment where accuracy is key. You’ll stay calm under pressure, take pride in getting the details right, and enjoy seeing work through from start to finish.


You should be detail-orientated and a team player who has a proactive approach to work to support your colleagues and the wider service.


You should be comfortable juggling multiple tasks, working with digital systems and data and maintain effective working relations with a wide range of contacts.


You will have great organisational skills and be solution focussed and motivated to get the job done. Experience of effectively prioritising a busy workload and proven ability to meet deadlines and manage time effectively.


Above all, you’ll be flexible, proactive, committed and motivated by delivering a reliable, high-quality service.
