Are you passionate about transforming parks and green spaces into vibrant, thriving community assets?

As the UK's first accredited Nature City, Birmingham is delivering its ambitious City of Nature 25-Year Plan, placing nature, people and place at the heart of the city's future. We are looking for dynamic and driven Green Space Development Managers to play a leading role in shaping the future of Birmingham's parks and green spaces, helping to create healthier, greener and more resilient communities.

In this exciting role, you will work at the heart of communities—building strong relationships with Friends groups, local organisations, elected members and stakeholders to identify and deliver local investment priorities. You will be instrumental in driving forward ambitious improvement programmes that enhance biodiversity, increase community participation and ensure our parks continue to meet the highest standards for quality, safety and accessibility.

You will lead on key initiatives including the Green Flag improvement programme, oversee the delivery of infrastructure and site enhancement projects, and identify opportunities to secure external investment through partnership working and successful funding bids. Your work will directly support the delivery of Birmingham's City of Nature 25-Year Plan, helping to create and improve spaces that benefit both people and wildlife.

Working collaboratively with operational teams, community partners and external organisations, you will help deliver meaningful improvements across the city, ensuring Birmingham's parks and green spaces remain welcoming, sustainable and valued community assets for generations to come.

We are looking for someone with proven experience in park development, project management or a related field, a strong track record of delivering successful projects and partnerships, and a genuine passion for green spaces, nature recovery and community engagement.
