We are looking for a talented and analytical Senior Performance Officer to join our Highways and Infrastructure team.
In this key role, you will support the management of highway maintenance and management contracts by analysing performance data, monitoring contract compliance, and providing high-quality management information to support service improvement and effective decision-making.
Working closely with the Principal Performance Officer, you will:
- monitor and analyse service provider performance against contractual requirements
- produce performance reports and management information to support contract management and payment processes
- identify trends, risks, and opportunities for service improvement
- support audits, data verification, and compliance activities
- work collaboratively with service providers, stakeholders, and colleagues across the council to ensure effective contract delivery
About You
You will hold a relevant professional qualification or an equivalent level of expertise and experience in analysing data as well as:
- extensive knowledge of highway maintenance and management services which includes the council’s statutory highway obligations
- a good understanding of service contract management, ideally within highways maintenance and management
- experience of performance reporting, analysis, and compliance monitoring
- the ability to interpret financial, statistical, and technical information to support decision-making
- strong communication and relationship-building skills
- advanced IT skills, particularly in Excel, with the ability to analyse data and improve processes
