As a Deputy Superintendent Registrar, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality statutory services, while helping to shape how modern, customer-focused registration services evolve in the largest and busiest district in the country.
About the Role
- Deliver statutory registration functions across births, deaths, marriages, civil partnerships and citizenship ceremonies.
- Act as an officiant, ensuring all legal preliminaries are met and as a celebrant at non-binding ceremonies.
- Lead and supervise teams across ceremonies and certificate services.
- Provide expert advice on complex and sensitive registration matters.
- Oversee financial controls, statutory records, and secure documentation processes.
- Support service improvement and digital transformation programmes.
What you will need:
- Substantial experience within a registration district and strong legislative knowledge.
- Experience supervising staff and delivering training.
- Proven ability to work in high-pressure, customer-facing environments.
- Excellent communication, organisational and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work accurately, prioritise effectively, and lead by example.
- Commitment to continuous professional development and inclusive service delivery.
