Catering Manager
Fixed Term Contract - 6 months
Part time 25 hours over 7 days.
Grade B - £28,598 - £34,434 pro rata
Consultation grade - subject to formal evaluation under the Pay Equity Review

Catering SupervisorWe are looking for an experienced and motivated Catering Supervisor to lead the day-to-day operation of a busy catering service. This is an excellent opportunity for a proactive individual with strong leadership skills and a passion for delivering high-quality food and customer service.
Key Responsibilities- Manage the preparation, cooking and serving of meals to agreed standards.
- Supervise and motivate catering staff, ensuring effective rotas and performance management.
- Maintain high standards of food safety, hygiene, health & safety, and compliance.
- Control food, labour and operational costs, including stock management and cash handling.
- Deliver staff training, induction and ongoing development.
- Promote the catering service and support continuous improvement initiatives.
- Level 3 Food Safety Certificate.
- Experience in large-scale catering and food production.
- Previous supervisory or team leadership experience.
- Strong knowledge of food hygiene, health & safety and catering legislation.
- Excellent organisational and planning skills.
- Ability to manage budgets, stock control and financial records.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Confident in supervising, motivating and developing staff.
- A hands-on leader with a positive and customer-focused approach.
- Strong team player with excellent problem-solving skills.
- Commitment to safeguarding, equality, diversity and inclusion.
- Flexibility to support occasional evening, weekend and school event catering requirements.
