We have an exciting opportunity for citizen focused people to join us as a Citizen Involvement Officer for 12 months.
As part of the Public Participation Team you will be part of a team passionate about engaging citizens. We are currently leading on local engagement activities which include face-to-face attendance, facilitating online meetings, building contacts with local communities so you must be willing to travel and work outside of normal office hours.
It’s a small but perfectly formed team who are very busy and passionate about putting citizens first. We provide advice and guidance to the rest of the council on best practice approaches to consultation and engagement. So as you expect, we are looking for someone who has the right people skills to hit the ground running and add value to the work of the team and the council to the citizens of the city.
You will need to be able to work as part of a team and on your own, using your own initiative to provide advice, guidance and tools to enable citizen involvement at its highest level through to enabling engagement with citizens at the front door to many services.
