Business Support Manager – School Improvement
Children and Families Directorate
We are seeking an experienced Business Support Manager to lead a business support team and help shape the delivery of the School Improvement Service within Children and Families.
This is a key leadership role, responsible for ensuring strong systems, effective processes and high‑quality support that enables the service to meet its statutory and improvement priorities.
The Role
You will:
- Lead and develop a business support team, setting clear expectations and building a positive, high‑performing culture.
- Design, embed and improve business processes and systems to ensure consistency, efficiency and good governance.
- Work closely with School Improvement leaders as a trusted partner, supporting planning, performance and delivery.
- Improve ways of working through better use of data, digital tools and streamlined processes.
- Ensure the service is well‑supported, inspection‑ready and able to respond to changing priorities.
About You
You will bring:
- Experience of managing business support or operational teams.
- Strong skills in process improvement, systems and governance.
- Confidence working with senior leaders and influencing change.
- A commitment to developing people and continuous improvement.
- A practical, solution‑focused approach in a fast‑paced environment.
