We are looking for a Business Support Coordinator to play a vital role in supporting the delivery of the School Improvement Service within the Children and Families Directorate.
This role sits at the heart of the service, ensuring day-to-day coordination, strong administrative processes and effective systems that enable officers and leaders to focus on improving outcomes for schools and children.
The Role
You will:
- Coordinate business support activity for the School Improvement team, acting as a central point of organisation and communication.
- Support the planning, scheduling and tracking of key activities, meetings and statutory processes.
- Maintain accurate records, systems and documentation to support governance, assurance and inspection readiness.
- Help embed consistent processes and ways of working across the team.
- Work closely with officers, managers and wider business support colleagues to ensure smooth delivery of priorities.
- Work closely with schools, teachers and specialist Advisors.
- Handle day-to-day financial administration for the service.
- Contribute to continuous improvement by identifying opportunities to streamline processes and improve information management.
About You
You will have:
- Experience in a business support, coordination or administrative role.
- Strong organisational skills with attention to detail and the ability to manage competing priorities.
- Confidence using digital systems and tools to manage information and workflows.
- A proactive, solution-focused approach and the ability to work collaboratively.
- An interest in improving processes and supporting service effectiveness.
