Contract Co-ordinator / Supplier Relationship Management

Working 36.5 hours per week

We are seeking organised and commercially minded Contract Coordinators / Supplier Relationship Management to join the Digital, Technology & Services (DTS) directorate. This role supports the management of a varied portfolio of digital, data and technology contracts, helping to ensure strong supplier performance, value for money and effective service delivery across the Council.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Supporting the contract and commercial management of digital, data and technology contracts
  • Managing and monitoring a portfolio of external suppliers delivering goods and services
  • Assisting with contract lifecycle activity, including mobilisation, variations and renewals
  • Supporting the preparation and management of Statements of Work and contractual documentation
  • Monitoring contract performance, KPIs and milestones to ensure compliance and service quality
  • Supporting cost control and budget monitoring activity across the contracts portfolio
  • Providing contract and commercial advice and guidance to internal stakeholders
  • Acting as a point of contact for contract‑related queries across Council directorates
  • Supporting supplier performance management and addressing under‑performance where required
  • Ensuring contractual, commercial and operational risks are identified and mitigated

About you:

  • Experience in a contract, commercial or procurement‑related role
  • Knowledge of contract and performance management principles
  • Understanding of governance, business processes and contract reporting
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with good attention to detail
  • Ability to work to deadlines and manage competing priorities
  • Confident working with data, reports and contract performance information
  • Experience working with IT, digital or technology contracts is desirable
  • Relevant qualification or equivalent experience (e.g. NVQ Level 4, HNC/HND, CIPS or similar desirable)
