Candidate Profile

 An experienced and child-centred Senior Practitioner within a Multi-Agency Safeguarding Hub, committed to delivering high-quality safeguarding responses that promote the safety and wellbeing of children and young people. Skilled in applying the Signs of Safety practice model to assess risk, identify strengths, and develop clear, outcome-focused plans in partnership with families and professionals.

Demonstrates a respectful and professional approach when working with children and families, ensuring that the child’s voice, wishes, and lived experience remain central to all decision-making. Experienced in engaging with children and young people to build meaningful relationships that inform robust assessments and interventions.

Maintains a sound understanding of statutory responsibilities, legislation, and safeguarding procedures, ensuring all practice is compliant and defensible. Able to analyse risk critically and make informed recommendations to managers regarding escalation and legal intervention where necessary to secure the safety of children.
 
Candidates must hold a relevant social work qualification and be registered with the professional regulator for social work (Social Work England). For the full list of essential and desirable criteria for this role, please refer to the Person Specification within the attached Job Description.
