Location: Hot desking or agile/mobile working with a requirement to work at least 3 days per week in a Basildon Council building or within communities.

Contract Type and Hours: Permanent 36.5 hours per week

About the Role

Are you passionate about preventing homelessness and supporting survivors of domestic abuse?

We are looking for an experienced housing professional to help lead our Housing Options and Domestic Abuse Team. Supporting the Housing Options and Domestic Abuse Manager, you’ll supervise a team of officers, manage a complex caseload and work with partners across housing, social care and the voluntary sector to deliver life changing outcomes for residents.

What you’ll bring:

Proven experience in homelessness prevention and housing advice
Strong knowledge of homelessness and housing legislation
Experience managing and developing staff
Excellent communication, decision-making and partnership working skills
A commitment to safeguarding, equality and outstanding customer service
