About the Role
We are seeking an exceptional Resident Engagement Officer to drive resident engagement and ensure residents have a strong voice in shaping Housing Services. You’ll lead and support a range of engagement activities. Facilitating meetings, promoting involvement, and enabling residents to influence decision-making while ensuring compliance with the Regulator of Social Housing and Consumer Standards.
You’ll build strong relationships with residents and colleagues to create meaningful opportunities for involvement, supporting Tenant Satisfaction Measures (TSMs) outcomes, safety obligations, and service transparency. You’ll champion inclusive engagement, developing accessible opportunities that reach all residents, including those with additional needs or barriers.
Working across teams and with partners, you’ll promote engagement culture, provide guidance to staff, and ensure resident feedback drives accountability, performance, and continuous improvement.
About what/ who we are looking for
We’re looking for someone with proven experience in resident engagement, involvement or community development. You’ll have a good understanding of current legislation and best practice in resident engagement, alongside excellent written, verbal and presentation skills. Highly organised and able to manage competing priorities, you’ll work accurately and with discretion. You’ll be IT confident, with skills across Microsoft Office and Teams, and educated to GCSE level (including Maths and English), with a relevant qualification or willingness to work towards CIH Level 3. Self-motivated and able to work on your own initiative, you’ll also be flexible to attend occasional evening and weekend meetings/ events, with the ability to travel independently across the borough.
