Job Title:  Community Facilities Maintenance Assistant

Contract Type and Hours: Part Time , Permanent(  29 Hours Per Week)

About the Role

Leisure and Community Services has a wide and diverse remit, comprising of a range of service units, activities, projects and programmes aimed at improving quality of life, health and well-being of the residents of the Borough. 

The role includes day-to-day responsibility for the maintenance of the Council’s wide portfolio of community buildings, including 8 community halls directly managed and maintained by the authority, as well as more than 30 community centres leased to other organisations.

The Community Facilities Maintenance Assistant will work closely with the Community Facilities Manager to ensure the facilities are maintained in a clean, secure and safe condition.

About what we are looking for

The candidate will need to be able to carry out basic repairs and maintenance and be able to work on their own and as part of a team. The candidate should be aware that this role includes being available out of normal office hours for call-out duties as specified.

Training will be provided to ensure our service quality is maintained.
