 Following the promotion of the previous postholder, an opportunity has arisen for an experienced and hard working individual to contribute to the work of the Private Sector Housing team responding to local issues within our local private sector housing stock.  Your duties will include HMO inspections; investigation and response to complaints in relation to housing conditions; provision of advice; and, generally ensuring compliance with appropriate housing standards.      

 You will have previous experience of working in a local government housing enforcement environment, which will include a working knowledge in the practical application of relevant legislation and the HHSRS.  Your skills will include excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the confidence to work with landlords, agents and tenants as well as a range of related agencies.
