About the role

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an existing staff member to join BICS as a Senior Clinical Practitioner (EH) within our West Hub multidisciplinary team. This substantive post is currently being covered through a secondment and has now become a permanent role within the team. As part of the wider multidisciplinary team, the post holder will work collaboratively across the Child and Family Early Help hub along with their BICS team colleagues, with a key role in providing consultation to our Early Help colleagues within the hub team.

The successful candidate would hold their own clinical caseload working across school and community settings, supporting the existing team in continuing to establish strong working relationships with Child and Family Early Help, and could act as a link practitioner for an agreed number of schools. In addition, there could be scope for developing clinical supervision skills as agreed with the Clinical Manager.

About you

You will play a key role in supporting the Clinical Manager of the MDT, ensuring the effectiveness and efficiency of the service. You may be providing supervision to less experienced colleagues, providing consultations to multi-agency colleagues, supporting community initiatives such as developing and delivering workshops, supporting the whole school approach as a link practitioner, having your own clinical caseload of moderate presentations and supporting / facilitating service initiatives within BICS. We strongly encourage applicants from a variety of clinical backgrounds.

You will also have a broad general and/or clinical knowledge base of Child Development and Mental Health. You should be able to work as a team member and to engage effectively with clients and staff across a range of contexts. You will be able to plan and organise your work in the face of complex and competing demands. You will be able to demonstrate an ability to work with people from different backgrounds, cultures and of different ages. You will have a positive and proactive approach to their own continuing professional development and have the capacity for reflective practice.
