Public Health Strategist
London Borough of Barnet
You will take a strategic lead for public health in protecting and improving the health of Barnet residents, with a particular focus on Living and Ageing Well priorities, including NHS Health Checks, cardiovascular disease prevention, cancer screening, immunisations and healthy ageing. You will work with council services, NHS organisations, voluntary and community sector partners and other stakeholders to improve population health outcomes through prevention, partnership working and evidence-based approaches. You will form part of the Live and Age Well and Health Protection team and will work closely with another Public Health Strategist and Public Health Officers to deliver shared priorities through a one-team approach. You will contribute to wider Public Health priorities, including neighbourhood working, population health management approaches, health protection resilience, emergency response activity and cross-cover arrangements where required. This role offers hybrid working, with an average of two office-based days per week.
