0-19 Practitioner (Level 3) (Part-Time)
London Borough of Barnet
This is a part time role for 2 days per week based in our South Hub
The 0-19 Early Help Service brings together practitioners from a Youth Work, Children’s Centre, Family Support and Social Work and EH Assessment background; with the aim of offering a more integrated early help offer to families, within Hubs based in local communities. Our service is delivered in conjunction with a wide range of partners. We take a systemic, whole family and multi-agency approach to help build resilience and aim to offer the right help, first time, putting children first. The 0-19 Early Help Service aims to provide timely and effective early intervention that prevents problems from escalating and enables children to flourish.
The ‘I’ grade role carries additional responsibility for ‘Return Home Interviews, (following missing episodes), ‘Out of Court’ processes, alongside the Youth Justice Team and working with vulnerable adolescents at risk of contextualised safeguarding, often alongside statutory social work services.
For this role, you will need to demonstrate that you have experience in direct work with young people and families. Be able to provide high quality interventions to children and their families to promote the welfare of children within their homes and community. Have a robust understanding of safeguarding and be able to prioritise tasks, keep accurate case records and have excellent assessment writing skills.
We are particularly keen to recruit someone with an interest/experience in providing preventative group work to young people and their families, co-delivering alongside partners and other colleagues. This post will also be involved in developing co-production work with young people, to develop and identify service needs and put suggestions into practice
We are particularly looking for people who are dynamic, enthusiastic and keen to develop themselves. If you have a passion for creativity and enjoy working in dynamic environments, we would love to hear from you.
