About the School
St Catherine’s is an outstanding, warm and friendly Barnet primary and nursery school with a strong caring ethos. We are seeking a professional, organised and friendly Office Administrator to join our busy and welcoming school office. As the first point of contact for parents, visitors and the wider community, you will play a key role in ensuring our school office operates smoothly and efficiently.
About the candidate
We are looking for someone who:
• Has significant office administration experience, ideally in a school setting
• Is confident using Microsoft Office, MIS systems and other digital tools
• Communicates clearly and professionally and builds positive relationships with families and staff
• Can multitask, stay calm under pressure and prioritise their workload effectively
• Understands confidentiality, safeguarding and data protection responsibilities
• Is organised, proactive and committed to delivering exceptional customer service
• A First Aid qualification is desirable but not essential.

In this varied and rewarding position, you will:
• Provide a warm, professional front-of-house service to pupils, parents, staff and visitors
• Manage day to day communications including phone, email and app enquiries
• Maintain accurate school information systems and adhere to GDPR and safeguarding procedures
• Oversee ParentPay administration, after school club bookings and event management systems
• Support senior leaders with correspondence, reports and general administration
• Assist with school trips administration, Parent Governor elections and record keeping
