About this job

<p>This role is responsible for ensuring that Homes, Environment & Communities is meeting statutory duties and complying with regulations, for its highways and foot-ways network.</p> <p>The primary responsibility is to assess, monitor, and maintain the quality and safety of roadways, footpaths, and related infrastructure within the borough. Your role contributes significantly to the smooth functioning of transportation networks and ensures the well-being of residents and visitors.</p> <p>Support the Street works team in assessing and monitoring all License requirements alongside those issued in accordance with Section 50 of the New Roads & Street Works act 1991</p>

<p>Have a relevant qualification (e.g. NRSWA accreditation)</p> <p>Degree level or equivalent education or experience</p> <p>Evidence of continuing professional development</p> <p>Knowledge of the regulatory and policy framework relating to Highways</p>

<p>You are a talented and dynamic professional who will work closely with a wide stakeholder group spanning public, private and voluntary/community sector partners across London.</p> <p>You should have experience of multi-agency working and bring proven organisational, analytical, and problem-solving skills to effectively manage competing operational priorities. Strong communication and interpersonal skills are vital to convey complex information clearly and efficiently, building effective working relationships with key stakeholders.</p> <p>You are looking for a lead role where you can use your skills and experience to collaborate with teams across the organisation and instil a strong resilience management culture. You are passionate about making a difference, focused on value for money, and enthusiastic about the improvement journey in Barking and Dagenham.</p>
