Reporting to the Council’s Application & Data Manager, the Commercial off the Shelf (COTS) Senior Applications Specialist - Financial Systems is a unique and highly critical role responsible for the successful delivery of Council’s financial services and operations.
The role holder will be primarily responsible for a portfolio of financial applications, including income management and payment systems. This includes the design and delivery of complex and significant integrations between financial systems and both internal and external platforms, supporting operational requirements and continuous service improvement. The post holder will manage complex financial data processing and data flows across the Council to ensure the stability, integrity, security and efficient operation of financial capabilities. Working as part of an effective team, the role will provide both Business as Usual (BAU) and project support for financial systems, and will act as product manager, providing expert technical advice and guidance on the use, development and ongoing management of these systems.
As part of the COTS applications team, you will also be required to undertake any other duties, commensurate with the role to support the delivery of IT Services to the Council.
Special requirements for this post
A basic DBS Check is required. This is a hybrid working role and all employees are expected to be in the office at least 3 days a week.
