Barking & Dagenham Community Safety Partnership (CSP) requires a Governance Lead to drive strategic collaboration and help to reduce crime in our local area. We are seeking a highly organised professional to oversee our multi-agency statutory framework. You will ensure compliance, manage multi-agency reporting, and coordinate executive boards to deliver measurable safety outcomes.
The successful candidate will ensure the partnership meets all legislative duties required by the National Crime and Disorder Act, and relevant duties.
You will coordinate agendas, distribute reports, and document decisions for the CSP Executive Board and monitor multi-agency data and action plans to identify potential issues and evaluate programme success.
You will serve as the primary liaison between police, local government, health services, and fire authorities.

About you
We need the successful candidate to have:
Governance Expertise: Proven experience managing partnership boards, public sector boards, or complex multi-agency partnerships.
Analytical Skills: Ability to analyse data from multiple public authorities into concise strategic briefings and action plans.
Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal ability to engage senior executives and community leaders alike.
Political Acumen: Understanding of local government structures, public funding streams, and strict confidentiality protocols.
