<p>This role supports the Participation, Opportunity and Wellbeing and School Performance and Partnerships teams in Education, helping to further improve outcomes for children, young people and schools in Barking & Dagenham.</p> <p>You will provide high-quality administrative and project support, working on areas such as school improvement, SEND and inclusion, and assisting in the smooth day to day running of council Youth Centres and services.</p>

Special requirements for this post

<p>The postholder will normally work 9am–5pm in line with Council policy, but for some periods may be required to work 8.30am–4.30pm. You will be required to work at the Vibe Youth Centre Mondays and Tuesdays, at Barking Town Hall on Wedensdays and Thursdays, with the opportunity to work from home on Fridays.</p>

About you

<p>You’ll be an organised and proactive communicator, confident in building strong relationships with colleagues, schools, and partners. You will enjoy working in a busy environment, managing multiple demands, and finding creative solutions to challenges.</p> <p>You will have:</p> <ul> <li>Experience in a statutory service setting (e.g. local authority or other public services).</li> <li>Strong skills in report writing, minute-taking, presentations, and analysis.</li> <li>Good IT skills including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.</li> <li>Ability to manage confidential information and understand GDPR requirements.</li> </ul>
