We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic individual to join our highly regarded Early Years Team, supporting the service as it transitions to the next phase of delivery following the borough’s successful Wraparound Programme. Under the Best Start in Life agenda, we wish to appoint a School Aged Childcare Coordinator. The postholder will be responsible for maintaining strategic oversight of the local school-age childcare market and for developing strategies to ensure that the provision of school-age childcare within the local area meets the requirements of parents, carers, and children. This is an exciting opportunity to join the Early Years and Childcare team following the introduction of the new childcare expansion. The role offers scope to learn and implement innovative working methods, whilst working strategically and collaboratively with teams across the local authority, schools, families, and childcare providers.

In addition, a thorough working knowledge of Ofsted requirements and quality frameworks pertaining to wraparound childcare is essential.
