We are looking to recruit a full-time Complex Social and Communication Needs (CSCN) Worker to join our SEND Early Years Team. This role involves providing structured support and advice to a variety of early years provisions, including both maintained and non-maintained nursery settings. You will play a key part in supporting children with CSCN, autism, and other special educational needs. You will work closely with the Advisory Teacher for Early Years and Inclusion, our CSCN worker, early years practitioners, SENCOs and nursery leads , ensuring that strategies and interventions are effectively implemented to promote positive outcomes for children with SEND.

The successful candidate will need to have an Enhanced DBS once in post
About you
You will need to have extremely effective communication skills, both written and verbal. You will be required to work independently under your own initiative, where appropriate. You will need to demonstrate a proven knowledge and experience of early years development, SEND processes and strategies that support communication. You will have a good understanding and previous experience of how structure can support children’s learning and communication, especially children with CSCN and Autism. An excellent knowledge and understanding of GDPR and safeguarding procedures is required.

About Us The Early Years SEND team provides support and guidance for teachers, nursery practitioners, and parents to help children with special educational needs in both maintained and non‑maintained nursery settings. We offer a range of evidence‑based interventions and SEND training, alongside coaching and modelling to build confidence and good practice within early years environments. We also support practitioners and parents with Education, Health and Care (EHC) assessment requests, ensuring that children receive the help they need at the earliest opportunity.
