<p>This is an exciting opportunity to join a vibrant Targeted Early Help Team in the role of Family Support Worker. The job is rewarding and challenging, working with children predominately 0-18 years, and their families to provide frontline targeted support when families are in need.</p> <p>We work with families who have a range of needs and challenges and provide intervention, working in partnership with the families and other agencies, like schools, health providers and the voluntary sector, to help families to move on with their lives. We work in the community, in family homes, family hubs and other community settings.</p> <p> </p>

About you

<p>It is beneficial to have experience working with children and families, especially babies and young children, providing support and completing meaningful direct work to ensure positive outcomes for children are met.</p> <p>The successful candidate will work with a range of families, on a 1-2-1 basis and in group settings You will be responsible for the completion of the families Early Help Assessment along with completing meaningful direct work and leading on Team Around the Family Meetings ensuring that positive outcomes for children are achieved.</p> <p>Most importantly, flexibility, a willingness to learn and work as part of a team and enthusiasm are all important attributes. You will be working alongside multi agency partners to provide robust assessment, short term intervention and review to meet the needs of the family. You will be required to complete accurate and timely records and reports to support and evidence the work with the family.</p>

<p>You will ensure all work meets the requirements and timeframes outlined within the Targeted Early Help Practice Standards. Also, you will ensure that safeguarding children is central to all work completed and that appropriate action is taken in line with the borough’s safeguarding procedures.</p> <p>We are a progressive and enthusiastic Targeted Early Help Team and we work in a diverse Borough which has many exciting new developments, but also many challenges. You  will be based in family hubs in the LBBD and you will work closely with our colleagues in the Multi-Agency Safeguarding Hub and Social Care, and partners within schools, health and the community.</p> <p>There are fantastic opportunities for training, development and co-working, making this a really good career development opportunity.
