About this job
<p>We are seeking to recruit a Performance and Information Support Officer and the role will focus on children’s social care. You will report to the Senior Performance and Information Officer and the key responsibilities will include extracting information from databases through tools such as Business Objects and interpretation of this information through data analysis and performance management, as well as report building and the design and maintenance of comprehensive performance frameworks.</p> <p> </p> <p>The Performance and Intelligence Unit comprises two sub-teams: a performance and intelligence team responsible for performance data and data analysis/intelligence across children’s and adults’ social care, crime/community safety and a systems team responsible for the implementation and development of social care databases, such as Liquidlogic.</p> <p> </p> <p>The unit is led by the Head of Data Insight and Intelligence, with two principal managers managing the two sub-teams. We are a team of specialists that use our skills to understand and inform demand, outcomes and improve the commissioning of services for our most vulnerable residents.</p> <p> </p>

About you
<p>We are looking for a highly-skilled candidate with strong IT skills and ideally knowledge of children’s social care.</p> <p> </p> <p>You will have proven experience of working with performance and reporting functions. In addition to this, the ability to work cooperatively and effectively within and across teams with internal and external stakeholders, as well as excellent communication and organizational skills is essential.</p> <p> </p> <p>We are looking for candidates that share our DRIVE values at Barking and Dagenham Council.
