This volunteer co-ordinator role is an exciting opportunity that will give the right candidate the opportunity to work with both children and their families, supporting them via mentoring, befriending and coaching. About you

<ul> <li style="text-align: justify;"><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 14px;">You will develop strong links across a range of community sectors and organisations to recruit a wide offer of volunteers who can support children and families open to the services.</span></li> <li style="text-align: justify;"><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 14px;">You will create and deliver a strong induction and training programme for volunteers alongside staff members from the relevant service area.</span></li> <li style="text-align: justify;"><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 14px;">You will support volunteers through ongoing training, learning and development as well as offer regular supervision and oversight of their work and monitor the matching of volunteers with children and families.</span></li> <li style="text-align: justify;"><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 14px;">This role will involve working with and alongside a range of professionals and multi-agency partners to create a joined up volunteer offer which supports holistic work with children and families to safeguard children from both a familial and extra familial harm context.</span></li> <li style="text-align: justify;"><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 14px;">You must have a passion for working with volunteers, children and families and be able to think creatively and respond to their needs.</span></li> <li style="text-align: justify;"><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 14px;">You will be skilled at training learning and development of volunteers and able to support them in their work with children and families.</span></li> <li style="text-align: justify;"><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 14px;">You will be skilled at identifying the needs of the service and recruiting and matching appropriate volunteers to meet these needs.</span></li> <li style="text-align: justify;"><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 14px;">You should be able to work collaboratively in a multi-agency team and to share information appropriately, both within the Adolescent and Youth Justice Service and partner agencies where appropriate.</span></li> <li style="text-align: justify;"><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 14px;">To be considered for the volunteer co-ordinator post you should have previous experience of working with and supporting volunteers in their learning and development</span></li> </ul>
