Volunteer Co-ordinator Adolescent and Youth Justice Service Permanent Department: Children's Care and Support (Operational) Division: Adolescent and Youth Justice Service Hours per Week: 35 Compensation: PO1 Planned Number of Hires: 1 Interview Date (Week Commencing): July 27th 2026 Closing Date for Application: July 12th 2026 The volunteer co-ordinators will recruit train and support the volunteer offer across the services identified. The Adolescent and Youth Justice Service is an established team that focuses on contextual issues that exist for young people. We have brought together a range of provisions including the preventative arm of the service that delivers high quality and engaging sessions with young people, identified as being at risk of being exploited or potentially entering the criminal justice system. The Youth Justice Service takes a holistic approach in working with young people and their families, to eliminate areas of their lives that may be putting them at risk of committing crime, and we strongly consider the journey of the child and the trauma’s they may have experienced through their younger years by creating effective tailored interventions. This is an exciting opportunity to enhance the service with volunteers supporting children and families in a range of different ways from mentoring and supporting to being involved in community referral order panels to help shape the work that is completed with children

About you

<ul> <li style="text-align: justify;">You must have a passion for working with volunteers, children and families and be able to think creatively and respond to their needs.</li> <li style="text-align: justify;">You will be skilled at training learning and development of volunteers and able to support them in their work with children and families.</li> <li style="text-align: justify;">You will be skilled at identifying the needs of the service and recruiting and matching appropriate volunteers to meet these needs.</li> <li style="text-align: justify;">You should be able to work collaboratively in a multi-agency team and to share information appropriately, both within the Adolescent and Youth Justice Service and partner agencies where appropriate.</li> <li style="text-align: justify;">To be considered for the volunteer co-ordinator post you should have previous experience of working with and supporting volunteers in their learning and development</li> </ul>
